A two-day DACUM research workshop captures employee responsibilities and related competencies or tasks in any occupational area. The resulting research chart goes beyond job profiling. DACUM charts are used to establish performance measures, financial incentives, and to clarify training priorities for new and incumbent workers. The nature of DACUM facilitation ensures that it is efficient and organic to every company’s culture.
To measure real-world skills, we use a variety of methods including performance-based assessment. Foundational skills assessments measure an array of applied job skills in areas of communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.

Language Skills Assessment The population that needs English as a Second Language (ESL) training is large, and diverse. ESL assessment must be appropriate, valid, and reliable.
Assessment forms the foundation of any successful training program, especially when it comes to language. Adult non-native speakers are in language programs for a broad range of reasons and are often at different proficiency levels.
WpLRC works closely with you to determine the best assessment strategies for your language training needs. The WpLRC approach to language assessment includes measuring oral, reading, writing and comprehension skills using a variety of standardized, norm-referenced and performance-based pre and post tests. To contextualize the curriculum, WpLRC language experts conduct on-site visits, shadow workers, and interview individuals and small groups of workers to gather relevant information on specific processes, duties, documentation, regulatory and safety procedures to be addressed in training.
