FAQs Basic Skills Assessments Career Guidance Information Boston Reed Resources Clinical Medical Assistant - 14 weeks Classroom: 134 hours including 42 hours online Externship: 160 hours Cost: $3,395 Clinical Medical Assistants work in the back office and assist the physician with procedures, care for patients, perform simple laboratory tests and administer medications. This 134 hour training program includes classroom and online instruction and prepares participants for work as a Clinical Medical Assistant. Participants are required to complete a 160 hour externship that is coordinated by Boston Reed College. Call now! 619-388-1251 Pharmacy Technician Training - 20 weeks Classroom: 182 hours, including 42 hours online Externship: 120 hours Cost: $3,395 The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist with mixing and packaging prescriptions, maintaining client records, referring clients to the pharmacist for counseling, assisting with inventory control and purchasing, as well as collecting payment and coordinating billing. This course meets State certification requirements with 182 hours of classroom and online instruction and a 120 hour externship coordinated by Boston Reed College. Students must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Upon successful completion of course, students will be eligible to apply for registration with the State of California Board of Pharmacy to work as a Pharmacy Technician.
